Recipe Instructions
Step 1
In a pot, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Add sliced onions, ginger, cashews, and green chili. Let it boil for a few minutes.
Step 2
Strain the mixture and let it cool.
Step 3
Once cooled, blitz the mixture to a super fine paste.
Step 4
In a pan, heat some oil and butter over medium heat.
Step 5
Add bay leaf and cardamom pods, sautéing for a few seconds until fragrant.
Step 6
Pour in the onion-cashew paste and mix well.
Step 7
Add salt, sugar, kasuri methi, and garam masala. Stir to combine.
Step 8
Gently fold in the cubed paneer and cook for a few minutes until heated through.
Step 9
Serve hot with naan or rice.
