Recipe Instructions
Step 1
In a bowl, combine whole wheat flour, salt, ajwain, and ghee. Gradually add water to make a semi-soft dough. Keep it aside.
Step 2
In a separate bowl, combine sattu, coriander powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder, ajwain, and salt to taste. Add chopped onion, chopped coriander, mustard oil, and lemon juice. Mix well and add a little water to bind the mixture.
Step 3
Take a portion of the dough, flatten it, and place the stuffing mixture in the center. Seal the edges to close it properly.
Step 4
Preheat the oven to 180°C and bake the stuffed litti for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
Step 5
Roast the tomatoes, garlic, and green chilies until charred. Peel the tomatoes and chop them. Mash the roasted garlic and green chilies.
Step 6
In a bowl, add the mashed roasted ingredients, coriander powder, red chili powder, salt, chopped coriander leaves, and mustard oil. Mix everything well.
Step 7
Serve the baked litti hot with chokha on the side.
